The Fall Festival Near Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Schenectady That Families Come Back to Every Year
There are fall activities, and then there is Liberty Ridge Farm. For families throughout Albany, Saratoga Springs, and Schenectady, this is the one that makes the shortlist every single autumn… and for good reason.
The 2026 Liberty Ridge Farm Fall Festival runs September 12 through November 1, at 29 Bevis Rd. in Schaghticoke, NY. Located squarely between Albany and Saratoga Springs with easy access from Schenectady, it is one of the most complete fall family experiences in the entire region. One ticket covers 50+ farm activities, entertainment, farm animals, and the kind of wide-open autumn air that makes the whole day feel like fall at its very best.
For kids ages 3 to 10, the farm operates like a greatest-hits album of fall. Start in Brad's Barnyard, where the pig races at Piggly Wiggly's Pen, the giant jumping pillows, pedal karts, giant gerbil wheels, the Farmer Flinger Swing provide kids everything they need to have a full day without even making it to the corn maze. Then head to the corn maze, which features a new design every year and covers 11 acres of 13-foot cornstalk walls that feel genuinely impressive to kids in that 6-to-10 range.
Potatoes are also available for picking on weekends. At the Market Barn, you can pick the perfect pumpkin, pay by the pound and take your pumpkin home. Pre-picked pumpkins are available if you'd rather skip the patch.
Shows run throughout the day: pigs race at 1, 3 & 5, pumpkins fly out of cannons at 12, 2, and 4. All day, the Hillbilly Band plays toe-tapping music in the barnyard, and the Animal Band performs for younger crowds. Daisy the Incredible Milking Cow teaches kids about dairy farming in a way that sticks. The Corn Museum walks everyone through how corn goes from stalk to everyday life.
Add a Punch Card to your admission for 10 punches toward premium activities including gem mining, paintball shots, pumpkin shooters, the train ride, animal feed cone, lemonade, kettle corn, and a baby pumpkin. For families with a wide range of ages, the Punch Card lets each kid build their own version of the day.
Harvest Festival weekend On October 10, 11 & 12 brings bonus activities: live music, face painting, balloon art, and a magic show on top of everything already included. Check the calendar at libertyridgefarm.com for Harvest Festival the full lineup.
Tickets are valid any day during the fall season, so you can buy now and pick your weekend as October unfolds. Advance purchase saves money over the gate price. Everyone ages 3 and up needs a ticket; children 2 and under are free.
