Your Complete Guide to the Liberty Ridge Farm Sunflower Festival 2026

If this is your first time at the Liberty Ridge Farm Sunflower Festival, or you want to make sure your family gets the absolute most out of the day, this guide covers everything.

When and Where: The Sunflower Festival runs four Saturdays in August: August 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2026. Hours are 11am to 7pm. Liberty Ridge Farm is located at 29 Bevis Rd. in Schaghticoke, NY, easy to reach from Albany, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Troy, and throughout the Capital Region.

What's Included: One ticket covers access to the four-acre sunflower field, the zinnia field, one bloom to take home, and 50+ farm activities. Farm activities include Rocky's 100-ft. Run slide, giant gerbil wheels, Farmer Flinger Swing, duck races, pedal karts, tug of war, the giant spiderweb climb, pig races at Piggly Wiggly's Pen, Farm-Cade, FarmYard Memory, Giant Chess and Checkers, farm animals (cows, goats, and chickens), Daisy the Incredible Milking Cow, the Bubble Hut, Sound Garden, rope climb, Sand Mountain, and much more. Live music from Harmonic Duo plays from noon to 4pm.

Food and Shopping: The Barnyard Grill serves festival food and treats throughout the day. The Market Barn is open for home décor, toys, local products, and souvenirs. Budget a few extra minutes in the Market Barn on your way out, as it is a consistent fan favorite.

Best Strategy by Age: Families with little ones should start with the farm animals and work their way to the sunflower field mid-morning before the crowds build. For kids ages 6 to 12, the slides, spiderweb, and pig races will anchor the day. For teens and adults, the sunflower field and zinnia field are the main draw, alongside the live music and the Barnyard Grill.

Tickets: Tickets are not date-specific, meaning you can buy in advance and choose your Saturday closer to the date, which is especially useful if you want to see which weekend has peak bloom. Purchasing tickets in advance saves money over the gate price.

What to Bring: Sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and your camera. The sunflower field is a full outdoor experience, and with 7pm closing hours that give you real access to golden hour light at the end of the afternoon.
